Sophia memanggut. Pikirannya menjelajah ruang batin. Mencoba berpikir ulang. Mempertanyakan lagi perjalanan malam itu.  "Untuk Apa..." batinnya. Bukan untuk pria Jamaica, bukan untuk singkapan masa lalu. Entah.... yang terlintas di benaknya pada saat itu hanya satu.  "Untuk Thomas..? ."  Tidak. Batinnya menyanggah. Ini karena sepenggal kata. Tapi... Semua yang tak pernah terpikirkan terjadi. Sophia tak mampu menahan diri. Seperti apa akhir cerita itu. Sophia tidak pernah tahu. Thomas bergeming. Sophia pun tak pernah bertanya. Dan Thomas juga tak pernah mengisahkan akhir kisahnya. Semua lenyap seketika.  Ditelan malam. Gelap. Di hempas kemarau panjang. Kering. ****
